The prequel

I still remember my first experience with computers. If I recall correctly, it happened around 1995. My mom's boss let me sit in front of a PC - of course equipped with a 60 Hz CRT display - and play with some games.
He started the holy Norton Commander, where lot of interesting things happened. And then he started Mario. I played a bit and left the game. Aaaaand what if I type "net" command into command prompt? Would be so cool, right?

A big nope. Novel Netware's network administrator started. Scared the hell out of me. And of course I turned off the display (sigh...)

The next time I was in front of a PC was in 1997 when I began my secondary school education. DUS, Windows 3.1 and a lot of interesting stuff. And yeah, you could learn too with these computers. I've learned a lot: operating systems, algorithms, Turbo Pascal and Delphi with Paradox database management.

I have seen my future: this will be my future. By learning electronics, I ganed a lot of knowledge and experience, but I stayed within the Information Technology. I created a lot of small utilities, floppy catalog, stock management and a Mortal Kombat-like game with fireballs (everybody likes fireballs, right?). Of course sprites were drawn with MS Paint.

When I took my final exam, I continued studying in the fields of eletronics, but I changed my course to software operator and software developer. Additionally I continued creating several homemade applications and studying with books borrowed from the library. Yes, without Internet.

Then I jumped head first to life.

My first job was at Szent Lázár County Hospital as a system administrator. I had one year fixed term contract. I felt it is the job of my dreams. Replacing toners, building networks, powering on UPS's switched off by cleaning staff. And uninstalling Solitaire from every computers.

When my contract ended, I decided to try myself as a service technician. I began working at User's Számítástechnika as a technician, salesman and pr0 g4m3r.

It's time to visit Budapest!

In 2007 I moved to Budapest, because I saw a lot of open system administrator positions. I found a position at a telemarketing company. Dream job! Oh, what we have here, a Linux server! Well, s(censored).
No problem, you can do it! Success. Just as administrating Windows servers, Asterisk PBX and a lot of workstations. Software development, webdesign... until 2012.

No, not the Mayans. The company got bankrupt. Mental breakdown until February of 2019.

A new direction

I began working as a webdesigner and DTP operator az a private clinics. New technology, new direction, SEO, constant learning.
It had it's own wonders. Thousands of people saw my creations (molinos, business cards, articles in international magazines etc.).

An unexpected journey

I had a call in 2015 by a recruiter. She asked me if I'm familiar with some frameworks. After a few interviews I began to work at a Hungarian textile wholesale company as an ERP developer.

...and what about your current position?

Currently I'm working as a full stack developer at a company, which has 23% global market share in motive and reserve batteries.
I'm using the following technologies: Symfony Laravel PHP7.3 Shell Scripting Node.js HTML5 CSS ES6 (ES2015) Webpack

Could you tell me something about your free time or hobbies?

I spend my free time with my two children and my wife. If I have the opportunity, I learn new technologies, languages, doing my own projects. I like taking big walks and take photos.
And I love LEGO.
